HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014 WOOP WOOP

We made it guys, the New Year is here and already we are 9 days in. Time really waits for no man.

The New Year is always a time for a fresh new start. The energy is powerful in January as the majority of the world are focused on making a new start. However, once February approaches that energy dies down as people easily loose focus on their goals or New Year resolutions. You may know someone this has happened to or even experienced it yourself.

When people set goals they tend to see the bigger picture which is what motivates them to get started in the first place and this is a good thing. For example, if you are 2 stones over weight, the bigger picture for you would be the lost of the 2 stones and a new you. However, the bigger picture can also work against you. Why you may ask?

Well, when you see the bigger picture originally you can’t wait to get stuck in right? A new you sounds great. But I find that once people get started, the bigger picture becomes too big for them and they loose vision as they can’t possibly see a way they will get there. This is why breaking down your goals is so important and I will discuss that in another post.

Today though, I want to talk about a subject most of us have faced in life or will face in life. I think it’s only right I share my story so you can see that we all go through the same things. That leads me to today’s quote of the week:

“The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step”

The reason why I chose this quote today is because I have come across PLENTY of people recently who are starting out at something new and are already being hard on themselves from the get go.

My Story

Pizza Eating, Ice-Cream drinking – LOL – Never again

An example is when I first started going to the gymnasium. I was out of shape, unhealthy and wanted to look like one of those dudes on the front cover of Mens Health and Fitness. I love my food and was still eating unhealthily when I first signed up. Back then I knew nothing about staying fit and healthy. I had no knowledge on Nutrition and would order a Chinese, Indian or Pizza at my disposal. What makes it even worst is I worked part time at Domino’s pizza back then and was “very” cool with the manager. Very cool as in free pizza after every shift LOL (with sides)

It’s funny because it’s true hehehe…

Anyway, I had a good 8 years bad eating under my belt and wanted to go from Mr tub to Mr Stud over night.

“You don’t get from A-Z in one go – You have to go through the rest of the alphabet”

It’s the same with anything really. If you want to get good at something or you are trying to achieve something from life, you have to grind, graft, hustle and put that work in… PERIOD!

Work has to be put in, in order to see a result…

I’m sure you’ve all heard it before:

Cause and effect & You reap what you sow – It’s all Universal Law folks…

Yet, you see so many people who want the results for free so to speak. It either cost them too much time or effort…

If only it was that easy. If it was, we would all be success in this life time. The difference between a successful person and a person who isn’t successful is the cost they pay – Not necessarily money either…

Image

I kept Going…

The journey to success has to start from somewhere. Don’t beat yourselves up. I use to beat myself up when I first started going to the gym. My previous self dialogue went a little something like this:

“David, why are you so fat”?

“Why are you going to the gym, you’re wasting your time – Go eat a pizza”

“Damn you’re weak, you can’t even lift this weight”

It’s quite clear I didn’t love myself back then and I had to go through that stage in order to know and love myself.

To all my guys out there now going to the gym and they’re new to this game – Please drop your ego and know that you don’t have to try and lift heavy weight because the guy next to you is. Ego lifting will get you hurt. You, like everyone else has to start from somewhere in order to build up your strength.

Women who are new mothers – Don’t ever judge yourself and think your a bad Mum because you don’t get some things right…

~YOUR A NEW MUM – You’re a special Mother with a special little creation to look after. Enjoy the new journey and path you have embarked on~

I am able to approach people like this because I have gone through similar things myself (not the baby part of course LOL)

The more the days go pass and the more I look and reflect on my past, I can see the magical path I have been travelling on (I was blind at the time though)

Image

What self image have you created for yourself?
Are you the cat looking at the lion or are you sadly looking at it the other way round…

Me not loving myself was the magic on the path that has now allowed me to learn to love myself and help others in hand to love themselves – Can you identify the magic?

Me living a life with a poisonous self image of myself has allowed me to identify that image, re-create it into something beautiful and to help others identify their image and to re-create it also if necessary – Can you identify the magic?

I’ve now seen how Life and the Universe really works…

At the time of going through these situations (I used to call them heart breaking at the time) no way did I know the reason for them. This is why I say, when something happens, DO NOT look for the reason – You will just drive yourself crazy (again, talking from experience)

~Let life flow and the reason will be revealed when the time is right~

That’s why when I’m now faced with a sticky situation, I

1) Take a deep slow breath

2) Face whatever it is

3) Make peace with it there and then (Move through anger and negative emotions, never let them consume you)

4) Know that not only will it make me stronger person, but a person that will be able to share the story one day

Just like I’m doing now 🙂

I could keep typing but I feel I have put across today’s message (I hope LOL)

I will be covering a lot more fitness and nutrition related issues this year but I’ve felt recently that “life” issues in regards to the state of mind and humanity as a whole have became more of a priority for me.

What good is living if you don’t love yourself LOL – I make a joke out of it now only to lighten the energy but it is a serious matter not to be played with.

Anywhoo…

HAPPY NEW YEAR ONCE AGAIN 😀

Really focus your attention on making 2014 the year of the change (whatever the change may be)

It’s your life, your thoughts, your reality and your time to shine…

My Love, Energy and Blessings goes out to you all.

NAMASTE

Hey Guys,

Seeing as it’s the last day of the year I thought I’d write a small post about some random stuff and kinda just go with the flow…

Where do I start?

2013 has been one of the best years of my life. I started the year with no vision that I’d be where I am today. Life has a way to carry you down this stream if you learn to go with the flow. I’d set many goals at the start of 2013 and through setting out to achieve them, life has taken me down this path that I hadn’t anticipated.

I’ve learned a lot about myself as an individual by going through life and trying to learn from everyday experiences.

Image

This year I’ve travelled, achieved goals, met new friends, over come challenges, helped people who’ve come across my path and I am living everyday as if it’s my last – I am literally trying to squeeze as much joy out of life as I can. Imagine life was toothpaste in the tube about to run out – That’s the type of squeeze I’m talking about lol.

Image

I done it – I made it happen – So can you!

Image

Never give up!

I never started the year knowing that I’d compete in not one, but two bodybuilding/fitness shows standing in front of 1000’s of people. I never knew that I would experience my first professional studio photo shoot with a top photographer in the city of London. I never knew or saw any of this guys. I mean, I saw it in my mind and knew that I would make it happen one day but I never this year would be the year. It makes me think, none of us know where life is going to take us. We just gotta stay positive and keep trying. PERIOD!

First Photo Shoot – Grown man Swag 😉

Life’s way too short not to enjoy. It’s too short to remain angry at someone because of something that happened in the past. It’s too short to harbour negative energy towards anyone because in turn all that will happen is it will affect your happiness.

I mean think about it. If you’re in a state of mind where you’re constantly seeking to get revenge on someone, how happy in your life can you truly be?

I have learned to forgive all the people in my life who have hurt me in the past and who will hurt me in the future as I want to live in peace with myself and be happy. Deep down we all know that true happiness doesn’t arrive until we are at peace with ourselves.

Please do not confuse what I mean when I say forgiveness. I don’t mean forgiveness in the traditional sense as in “Forgive, forget and be friends again”, but forgiveness as in to forgive so you can be at peace of mind.

I look back at my life now and can see that I have truly become a man. Upon reflection, I can see that I have come a long way from where I use to be. I now recognise that my life has been one big lesson. Each day is really a school for learning.

All the situations I’ve been in that I once called negative or bad have been stepping stones to make me the guy that I am today.

Image

“Without negativity in my life, I wouldn’t aspire to be positive”

I know this may sound crazy to some but I now appreciate negativity in my life. In fact, I appreciate all the polarities which fall under negativity.

Let me explain. When I’m angry, I learn to be remain calm. I don’t like getting or being angry, so I consciously focus my attention on remaining calm when I find myself in “negative” situations. Through mastering and learning to control all negative aspects of ourselves we become stronger individuals. I hope you now have a better understanding of what I mean when I say I welcome negativity in my life.

I now view life as a game. One big massive game. And within this massive game contains games within games (Inception).

Image

We all play the numbers game which requires everyday participation.

In fact, the numbers game takes up the majority of our lives. If you are not playing in this game, life will become very difficult for you.

If you hadn’t clocked on by now I’m talking about “Money“. In today’s reality we are all playing the numbers game and you have no choice but to play (unless you live out in the hills somewhere)

But I’ve realised something – Life isn’t actually all about money. You may think I’m contradicting myself, so again allow me to explain…

Image

On the bigger picture of life, we are all human. We all have the same God given needs and are made up of the same bio-logical structure. We all need love, food, shelter, health and air to breathe right…

From what I find truth in, life is all about creating. It’s about creating and sharing with the world what you are good at. Developing your natural born skills, loving others and doing your part to making the world a better place. However, this isn’t our reality…

Instead, we live in a world where our reality has become “Survive Survive Survive”.

Image

We are all so busy trying to survive and live…So much so that we’re not getting the opportunity to truly live and enjoy life. You following me?

It’s not all bad though as within all of that I have also learned something else. We all have the power to shape our reality…

Who controls your thoughts? YOU

Thoughts are what make up your…? REALITY

Now, if your thoughts are what make up your reality and you control your thoughts then you can clearly understand that you are the one with the power. And we all know that with power comes responsibility…

WE ALL HAVE THE POWER TO SHAPE OUR REALITY

Image

When you make a comment such as:

“I’m depressed because this person hurt my feelings” OR

“I’ve had a bad day because my boss was being a bone head”

Do you realise you that you have given that person the power to control how you are feeling? You are consciously allowing them to shape your reality. No one deserves that sort of control over you but YOURSELF! Never forget that!

Looking back at life and thinking over 2013 I can truly see that I am living in a different reality to which I use to live. I don’t even feel like myself any more at times. That might sound bad but it’s actually a good thing.

I think what has happened is, I’ve realised my true potential and what I can achieve in this life time. But because I’ve created this self image of myself which is a portrait of all my lower aspects, I’ve identified myself with all those lower aspects and have been living my life thinking that “That is who I am” and “That is all I am” .

Image

When I speak to people about this subject, I see that we are all in it together. Many others have created this poisonous “Self Image” of themselves that have stemmed from hurtful past experiences which have built up and manifested into emotional blockages such as confidence issues, fear, worry of failure, lack of self worth, fear of rejection…We don’t believe in ourselves and I believe this is the root cause of it all.

We don’t see all the good things we have been doing in our lives. We don’t recognise all the wonderful things we have been doing for ourselves and others around us until someone points it out. Why?

Because we were “just” being “Ourselves”

What does your self image say about you?

Do you walk with confidence because you know your true worth or are you living a life filled with fear?

Do you know how special you are? If so, do you embrace it?

If not, ask yourself why exactly you are not special?

Listen to the answer you hear in your mind? The answer may be along the lines of a mistake you’ve made in the past.

Whatever it is, face it, analyse it, work with it and make peace with it. Don’t move into 2014 with any unnecessary emotional baggage. If you are carrying baggage, make 2014 the year to drop the load and live in peace.

I could type forever but seeing as it’s New Years Eve I don’t want to bore you any longer lol.

Guys, I wish a you all a wonderful 2014.

Don’t be too down on yourself if you never made it happen like you wanted to in 2013. Just review what could have been better and make it right for 2014.

That’s the good thing about failure. You fail, You “learn”, You make it right and go for it again and again until you finally get right…

You will realise soon enough though that because of “failure” you learned to reach success and had it right all along…

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014

Yours Truly

Hey Guys,

How are we all doing today? As always, I hope you’re all doing well.

Now that I’ve finished competing for the year and all my prep and dieting is over, I have time to get back to writing some heart felt post 😀

Interestingly enough, I’ve had A LOT of request for me to bring back the “Quotes of the Week” post. It appears it resonated with you guys more than I was aware of, so it’s only right I bring it back with no delay 🙂

For those of you who are new here, once a week I take a famously written quote and expand on it in detail giving you my philosophy and perspective. Check a previous “Quote of the Week” here for an example of what I am referring to.

It’s been such a fantastic year for me and in January 2013, I never saw NONE of this all happening – What an incredible journey it’s all been. Without you guys who take your time to even read my post and support me, none of this would exist in my reality… So thank you all for being apart of my journey.

Let’s keep this movie movie rolling baby 😉

My Facebook post are turning into mini blog post and I’m aware that not all of you follow me on FB, so from time to time I will post what I’ve written on FB and link it here as the knowledge and information is still related to the topics of this site.

I decided to call this the warm up as I have a whole lot to talk about on the subject of:

“Making that Change”

I have changed my life drastically over the last 5 years and I have studied what has helped me make the change (for the better mind you) and stick to it.

I have what it takes to help others make a positive change in their life’s and at this point I don’t even want any money for it. It’s my life purpose to be of service to others and if I help you in some way, shape or form, then I am doing my “true” job.

I started the year with my body fat hovering around 20%.

I will be finishing the year with my body fat under 10%.

You’ve literally watched me transform my body over the last 10 months.

I know a lot of you want to make a change for the better whether it be a new way of eating, thinking or something more personal to you.

Change isn’t always easy as a lot of the time it requires making changes to your current routine and sacrificing things you love.

But ask yourself this:

“Is the sacrifice that I’m going to make worth the end result”

It’s only when you find the true answer to this question that you can begin to proceed with taking the 1st step.

Life is what you make of it – If you perceive it to be hard, it will be hard. Changing your pattern of thinking is where the real change begins to take place.

Like I always say though…Believe nothing I say.

Go do the research for yourself and find truth within what I am saying.

To believe is to accept information without finding the truth in it for yourself. Would this then mean that you’re living a lie???

Hey folks,

I hope everyone is well. I’ve missed not blogging for the last 2 weeks and everyone’s been asking where I’ve been. As some of you are aware, I’ve been having a few difficulties with my eye sight for a little over a week now and was advised by the opticians to not go anywhere near a PC/Laptop and avoid watching TV also to give my eyes a rest. Things aren’t 100% but I feel good to continue blogging and connecting with you guys.

This weeks quote is influenced by the recent experience I’ve gone through and I feel a lot of you can learn from it also.

Go for it now. The future is promised to no one.”

How true is the above quote – The future is promised to no one!

So many times in life we put things of until tomorrow, next week or even next month and we’ve all done it at one point in our life.

It could be the smallest thing, from cleaning your bedroom to revision/coursework, reaching a deadline or even starting a new diet plan.

As humans we have a tendency to either live in the past or  the future, never really in the present – What do I mean by this?

Let’s use setting goals as an example. Far to many times I see people setting goals (which is a good thing by the way), however, their focus is on the end result too much. Rather than them enjoying the journey each day (the present) and learning from their experience on that journey, they get to wrapped up on tomorrow. When this happens, you take the fun out of reaching your goals and it becomes task rather than something you look forward to doing each day.

Let’s now use past relationships as an example – If you’ve ever had the misfortune of having your heart broken or been through a painful experience with a previous partner, this is an experience which happened in the past right (yesterday). However, you could move on to meet someone new but because of the pain you’ve gone through previously, you automatically go into autopilot and your guard is up to protect you from any hurtful feelings.

This is understandable and a natural defence system as a human being, however, imagine if that person was right for you, but because of the past, you was blocked yourself from future happiness…It happens so often.

There is no manual to life which I think is exciting because, you never know what’s going to happen tomorrow. Further more, we don’t even know if where going to live to see tomorrow which is why “We must go for it now”

If you like someone, go tell them now, what are you waiting for you? They may meet someone else and your chance is gone. Take the opportunity when it is in front of you!

If you plan to start loosing weight, don’t wait until the 1st of a new month or the start of a new week, go for it now. The sooner you start, the sooner you are to your goal which is a added bonus.

I’ve said it before, “The present is a gift” – If you’re alive right now, your more blessed than you know. No matter what you are going through, God (and I use that term loosely) never throws anything at you that you cannot handle. You need to remember this when you are going through hardship and real pain. The saying, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” could never be more true.

It’s like a boxer in a ring, he may loose every round and eventually loose the fight, but if he continues boxing, he hasn’t really been defeated, he’s just become a stronger more advanced boxer as he has that experience to learn from and move on to bigger and better fights.

Life is way to short and the way time is flying these days, it almost feels as if we “must go for it now” rather than waiting for tomorrow (which may never come)

Like I always say, spend time with your loved ones and tell them you love them. Share gifts with those who don’t have. Smile with that old man you walk past every morning. Act from a place of love for we all share the same energy and hate for another man is really hate for ones self on a deep subconscious level (but that’s another topic for another discussion)

Remember, if you have the opportunity TODAY, go for it TODAY, as tomorrow isn’t promised.

I love you all and Stay Blessed
