it always

What does this mean to you?

To me, it means just getting started.

It’s too easy to over think things when in reality it can be as simple as just getting the job done.

How many times have you thought about getting something done and put it off as the task seemed so over whelming.

This could be anything – From starting a fitness regime, to cleaning your bedroom.

Overthinking vs Instinct

Thinking can slow you down sometimes, but by applying instinct and a just get it done attitude, you can progress a lot further.

What do you think?

It always seems impossible until it’s done.

Hey Guys,

How is everyone doing this week? I hope you’re all good and enjoying life to the fullest doing whatever it is you want to be doing everyday.

It’s the first week of July already, it won’t be long until they start advertising Christmas, just you watch LOL.

Anyway, I’m back again to send out some more positive vibes and motivation and hope to lift someone’s spirit who may be going through some hard times right now.

While searching for this weeks quote, I found the below quote and knew it was the one I had to share this week. Not only do I live by this quote, but I feel it has a nice message to it that anyone can relate to. Without further ado, here goes…

“Set your sights high, the higher the better. Expect the most wonderful things to happen, not in the future but right now. Realize that nothing is too good. Allow absolutely nothing to hamper you or hold you up in any way”.

I’ve always believed and said to people, aim for the stars and if you don’t get to the stars, at least you’ll touch the sky.

Have you ever found that you’ve had a goal or a dream, shared it with someone, and there and then they’ve crushed it within a heart beat? I don’t know about you, but I have and it doesn’t feel nice. To be fair, a lot of the time I don’t reckon their intentionally trying to put me down, but their level of risk taking is not on the same level as mine.

You may often find this with friends and family and easily take offence, but from their perspective, I think most of the time there just trying to help and maybe don’t believe the risk your willing to take is realistic. This is why it’s VITAL that you fully believe in yourself.

You see, only you know what you are capable of and no one else. Eric Thomas taught me when I went go see him a few months back that, I should keep my dreams to myself and I recommend you do the same. WHY?

BECAUSE YOUR DREAMS ARE TOO BIG FOR OTHER PEOPLE!

What we need to remember is, no one is going to believe in us if we don’t even believe in ourselves.

Take a bank investor for example. If I went to him/her with a business plan but I wasn’t 100% confident that the business would succeed, why on earth would they even consider to give me the investment? If I don’t believe the business will do well, what reason do they have to believe it will do well? There’s a 90% chance I will leave empty handed.

Take the same scenario, however this time round I’m fully prepared, have all my numbers together and fully believe the business is profitable – What are the chances I’ll get the loan now?

I think you’ll find for one, they’d take me seriously and two, even if I didn’t get the loan, just by changing my mind state to a place of belief and being prepared, my chances soared 10 fold.

We gotta be realistic here guys, you really have to know and believe in yourself first before others can place any sort of hope in you.

Saying that though, once you’ve established a belief system within yourself and accepted that anything is possible (proving your willing to put in the work) it then becomes easier for you to sell your dream to people.

NOTE – You will always get some people who reply with negativity upon sharing a goal or dream, in situations like this, just brush off your shoulders and keep proceeding forward.

I always preach to folks that no one can stop you from doing what you want to do but you and feel I should elaborate a little on this using myself as an example real quick.

Back in January when I entered the Body Transformation challenge at my gym, I told myself flat out that I had won. I visualised how I was going to look after the 90 days, I visualised how I was gonna train throughout the 90 days and I visualised my reaction upon finding out I had won. I may sound crazy, but visualisation is a very powerful tool that deserves its own blog post.

Anyway, 90 days later and KAPOW – It was in the bag. Throughout the journey NO ONE was going to stop me but me…I mean how could they.

No one can’t diet for me but me. No one can train for me but me. On top of that, no one can get 6-8 hours of sleep a night for me but ME – Only I can do the above for me and NO ONE ELSE!

If I didn’t maintain a strict diet, it would of been ME stopping ME from getting the win. If I didn’t train 5-6 times a week in the gym, again it would of been ME stopping ME from getting the win. Can you see my point here? This is what I mean when I say NO ONE can stop you.

“Expect the most wonderful things to happen, not in the future but right now”.

To me, if we live in the past we are just dwelling. If we live in the future, we are not enjoying the now, the present (which is a gift). To live in the now is difficult for a lot of folks and I used to be one of them. Since secondary school I’ve always found myself goal setting and thinking about “5 years down the line” or “In the next few years I’m going to do this or do that etc”

Now don’t get me wrong, THINKING and planning for the future is good, however, constant LIVING in the future is a whole different story.

Living in the future doesn’t allow us to enjoy the present (the now). We can easily find ourselves obsessing on tomorrow. But then tomorrow comes and we obsess about the day next, then the next day, then the day after that and soon enough we find that although we have reached our goal, at no point did we stop to enjoy the days leading up to that goal.

So what happens is, you find yourself in a situation where you have accomplished your goal, a goal that you’ve worked hard for, however, you don’t have the happiness you imagined would be associated with your new success.

Don’t do this to yourself guys, enjoy everyday and try to live in the now, the present, the gift.

If you find that you don’t currently live in the present (the now) and your always dwelling on the past or obsessing on the future, please may I ask that you take some time to reflect upon your life. I think that you’ll find living for today,THINKING about tomorrow, but learning from the past will put you in a much happier state of mind which will essentially lead to a better overall experience of life.

I call it a gift I suppose as it’s a play on words. You give someone a gift (a present) but to be alive at this time present is a gift within itself as many people have transitioned but you are still here now, alive and kicking and able to read this.

Be grateful for everyday you are alive no matter what as there is ALWAYS someone more worst of than you and it’s only when you compare your life to say someone in a 3rd world country that you can really appreciate life and count your blessing seeing things from a different perspective.

I hope I have provoked some thought within some of you and helped you to see that life ain’t so bad after all…

Anyway, Ima wrap it up as I have a long day ahead tomorrow and need some beauty sleep.

(You don’t look this fine just using coco butter LMAO – I’m only joking)

Have a great week guys and I’ll be back soon.

Peace and Love

Hello to all my wonderful readers,

Firstly, thank you for your patience over the last 2 weeks while I’ve been away sorting out a few bits and pieces behind the scenes. I now have the time to continue with weekly blogging and will get round to answering all your emails throughout the week.

I hope everyone’s been well though and enjoying life. A lot of crazy things going on in the world right now so we gotta give thanks for our blessings and be grateful for everyday that we are alive. Like I say all the time, enjoy and love life because it’s way to short to not be lived. Tell all your loved ones that you love them, go out and do what you love, make your dream a reality and live it. “The world is yours and everything in it”…Always remember that.

Anyway, it’s only right we kick start the week of with a motivational Quote, so here goes:

“One way to keep momentum going is to have constantly greater goals”

I am a firm believer in this quote. By setting goals, we know on a conscious and subconscious level that we are going to have to take some form of action before we can see results. We don’t get anywhere by keeping still in life, movement is a vital part of both creation and existence. You have to get up and put the work in.

But let me ask you a question, what happens in a situation where you’ve reached the goal you’ve been working towards?

Do you:

A) Stop there, your comfortable as it is

B) Make the goal bigger and keep pushing forward

C) Come up with some new goals and keep it moving

I feel that goals give us something to work towards in life, and upon reaching them, I believe we can call ourselfs successful.

My definition of success is when someone sets themselves a task and sticks to it through thick and thin, ups and downs, sun or rain.

Everyday trying to reach your goal is going to be a test of character. You will face challenges that will make you question why your even trying to chase whatever it is your chasing – But it’s at times like these that we’ve got to keep strong and remember why we set the goal in the first place.

Ask yourself  “How badly do I really want this, and what am I willing to sacrifice to make it happen”

You will come across people who will tell you that your dreams are to big. You will come across people that will tell you your not being realistic about what you are trying to achieve. (Stop telling people your dreams, their to big for anyone but you)

Let’s face it, you will come across a lot of negative energy…However, by preparing yourself for these bumps on the journey and changing your perspective on how you see things, you can then view any challenge as a “Test of Character” or what I call (TOC) and look at them positively…

View it as something that will make you stronger by teaching you valued life lessons.

The key is to be satisfied but never too comfortable. This strikes a harmonic balance where you are happy with what you have accomplished but still hungry for more.

“It’s like eating a meal, eat until you are satisfied, never bloated. This way, your always hungry ready for more”

Thank you for reading as always and I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week 🙂

Much Love
