Hey Guys,

I’m back with another quick tip of the week. This weeks tip is simple but effective and can be used by anyone

Choosing the stairs over the Lift/Elevator

The Lift/Elevator at work or at the shopping centre may be a nice convenience, but taking the stairs will strengthen your heart, burn extra calories and tone your entire lower body. If you have stairs at home, take every opportunity to use them.

Walking up and down stairs for 20 minutes a day works nicely if you need to squeeze in some cardio but find you are short for time.

I like to consider myself as fit but even walking up a few flight of stairs can have a guy feeling a little short of breath LOL.

Not that I should have to tell you, but the more steps the better…but you already knew this right 🙂

Stair Lunges

If you have stairs at home, a little work out you can try is lunging up the steps and pausing at the bottom for a nice burn.

Here’s how I see it…taking the stairs cost nothing but a few extra minutes out of your day. And what’s a few extra minutes when where talking about your health…Think about it!

Fitness & weight Loss are similar to mountain climbing...

As well as the message being given here, I also want females to see that lifting weights isn’t going to make them “Hench” or “too muscular”. 2013, let’s beat the misconceptions.

Search for my blog post on “Women and training pt1”. I will be covering pt2 in the next few weeks.

This week I’m going to cover nutrition starting with “Vitamins & Minerals” so look out for that.

For now, eat well and stay away from processed foods (I mean, beef burgers ain’t just beef burgers no more…Horse burgers lol….What a joke…We don’t know what where eating with all this processed food anymore…Burger King, Tesco, Aldi…There all in on it and I’m sure the list goes on).

Eat good, Live Good.

Stay Blessed

New Years Resolutions: Changing my body

This picture here describes what happens to many of you every year. January 1st you are bursting with motivation and all fired up to change your body but as time goes on you slowly start falling off.

This is evident in the gyms as well and I see it all the time. Between January and March the gym’s are packed with people who want to change the way they look and to make a lifestyle change or for some they just ate to much over Christmas.

Whatever your reason…Don’t be a quitter!

I totally understand that it’s not easy to stick to a goal or to stay consistent, I’ve been there. But I’ve managed to over come this minor step back and so can you.

2013 is a good time to start doing things you said you was going do this year but just didn’t get round to. New Year, New start, New things.

Make your goals now and I will work with you in 2013 to achieve those goals. In the meantime, check some of my previous post on staying motivated and consistent.

I sincerely wish you all a Happy New Year & send nothing but peace and love to you all. Stay Blessed.
