I hope everyone is well, living life and making their dreams a reality.

I was just watching the above video on Youtube and had to share it with you lovely people 🙂

2015 UPDATE

Just to let y’all know, I’ve been busy behind the scenes writing my book and I’m about 50% complete 😉 I will do a free version to give you guys an insight. As stated before, it will be along the lines of self improvement, self motivation and living a better quality of life through changing your psyche and state of mind.

My goal is to help people live a happier life in anyway that I can.

I have to be honest though, I haven’t found it easy as I am now also working full time, currently through the process of moving home and sorting out some personal issues – But that is life…

I’ve also upgraded my Apple Mac Computer that has a HD camera for shooting Youtube videos for 2016 – I’ve always wanted my own Youtube channel and look forward to creating some footage along side this blog.

So lot’s of goodies in the pipe line my people…

What’s up my beautiful people,

How are we all doing on this fine day. I hope everyone is doing well, enjoying life and achieving their goals.

I’ve been well for those asking thank you 🙂

I’m back in the gym 5 days a week now, 100% clean eating (well a little treat on weekends LOL) and I’m half way into my ebook – I’m doing one for free and releasing a self published version – So I’ve been a busy bunny guys.

I aim to blog at least twice a week now (I’m scared to make any promises LOL) but I want to help you guys as much as I can whilst living a balanced social life.

But without further ado, let’s get straight to business…

Goals and Motivation

I believe that life has added value when we have goals to work towards, wouldn’t you agree?

It gives us motivation and drive to focus our energy on something that is likely to bring us success in the future, and I’m sure we all want to be successful in life.

Staying motivated isn’t easy though, and I’m sure we’ve all been in a situation where we’ve lacked motivation in some way, shape or form – But there are many tools to help us stay on track and today I will share some with you.

Before we get to the juicy stuff though – Let me ask you all a question or 2…

1) What does Success mean to you?

2) Do you believe that you have what it takes to go and make success a reality for you?

Meditate on that for a moment…

As humans, we sometimes grow up facing face self doubt and this can affect how we view ourselves on a daily basis. Believe it or not, self doubt can be the determining factor as to whether we obtain success or not and I’ll tell you why…

If you don’t believe in yourself, who is going to believe in you? Who is going to keep you going when times get tough eh?

And if you start doubting your character, its also easy to find excuses to give up when times get rough.

Self doubt will have that little voice in your head telling you that you can’t do it or even worst, put you in a state of procrastination saying:

 “I’ll Do It Another Time” – Poison to be avoided at all cost!

Also, if you don’t see yourself in a positive light, it’s hard for others to do so as well. Subconsciously without realising, the state of self doubt will have you carrying yourself in a certain manner that is easily noticeable by others around you.

For example, your body language, the way in which you speak and how you carry yourself in general are all critical factors that determine whether someone views you as confident or not.

(I will write a post soon about how to boost Confidence in day to day life)

But as today is all about Motivation, below I will share a tip to help you stay Motivated and on track with your goals.

Visualisation

I’ve spoke about Visualisation before, but it is a vital part of the process where goal setting and staying motivated is concerned. I usually sit with my clients and get them to visualise what it is that they want from life. Without visualising where you want to be, how can you know where you want to go. Think on that for a moment…

Visualise very clearly and vividly what career you want for yourself. Visualise your dream partner. Visualise your dream car. Visualise the amount of money you want to make. Keep dreaming and dream big my people. If any of you have watched the DVD the Secret or know anything about Law of Attraction, you will know how important visualisations are. They bring about a wonderful feeling in the present moment of now. One thing the DVD didn’t really mention though is that:

Law of Attraction + Action = Success

You see, you can’t just dream big and take no action…You have to go out there and make stuff happen…Ya Dig!

Write Down Your Goals

I don’t mess around when it come’s to goal setting. I have my goals written down in a small book that I carry around with me. It’s a constant reminder why I can’t eat McDonalds when I’m doing a Bodybuilding show or a modelling shoot.

You always want to review your goals daily to help you stay on track and to keep the consistency going.

Bedroom walls, the kitchen, the bathroom i.e are all great places to stick your goals up. Write them down on a piece of paper (post it notes even) and stick them up all around your house. This is how I practice and adopt self motivation…

You see, I’m a guy who loves my food – And I mean LOVE my food LOL – So staying motivated when it comes to getting abs isn’t always the easiest for me. (My earlier followers have seen me out of shape before – I will try and re-upload the pictures to show you how far I’ve come from being tubby to the boy with abs)

I’M JUST SAYING 😀

Hi Guys,

As a lot of you are aware, I’ve been working hard at transforming my body over the last 90 days. This was for a competition I entered at my local gym against other local members. I had a number of reasons for entering, but my main reason was I needed a boost, I needed some motivation. Why did I need a boost though?

Well, as some of you are aware, back in December 2012, I partially dislocated my shoulder and had to take some time off training. Truth be told, within this time I lost a lot of motivation and came off track big time. I went on a see food diet (If I saw it, I ate it LOL). No joke, I kinda started eating like how I use to before I started training which is not the norm for me these days.

Christmas being that month didn’t help either as it was just an excuse for me to gorge myself in food and come up with all these lame excuses for my lack of dedication. I’m usually a fighter but in this short space of time I kinda gave up.

I was just down at the fact that my training was going so well, my diet was on point, then out of no where comes an injury. I started asking, “Why me”. On top of this I had some other stuff going on in my personal life which was just adding fuel to the fire.

Anyway…When I heard about this challenge it gave me an incentive to stop feeling sorry for myself, fix up and get back on track.

The injury also taught me a lesson…It taught me that in life, things aren’t always going to be smooth and there will be many up’s and down’s. We will get knocked down time and time again but as long as we get back up and keep fighting then we can only get stronger.

At the end of the day guys, we are only human beings, being human. Life is here for us to enjoy and learn lessons. Situations will be placed upon us, call it a test if you like and it is down to us whether we pass or fail…The choice is ours.

I decided after feeling sorry for myself that I was going to get in the best shape of my life and guess what, I’m on my way.

My shoulder isn’t 100% but I’m training around it and to building what I’ve lost.

I’m looking to do another 90 days but this time round I’m going to step up my training like never before and keep my diet cleaner than it’s ever been. This should have me looking pretty ripped come July. I’ve set myself some new goals and this will help keep me motivated over the next 90 days.

  1. I want to do a photo shoot
  2. I aiming for sponsorship
  3. I’d love to step on stage and compete for the 1st time
  4. By transforming my body, I’m showing people it’s possible. I’m human like the rest of you. If I can inspire people, this within itself will keep me going.

Whenever I feel like I’m coming of track or loosing motivation, I will look back at these 4 goals and remember why I’m doing it. Consistent training and eating clean isn’t easy. If it was, we would all have our dream physiques.

I’m loving this journey and feel like I’m just getting started 🙂

No matter how many goals you have achieved, you must set your sights on a higher one. I feel that by having goals in life, it allows us to stay motivated, driven and to keep striving for more. I believe that the day you are satisfied, or for better words, comfortable, is the day you stop really living life.

I apply this same analogy to Bodybuilding. I keep aiming for improvements because I know the day I look in the mirror and say “I’m there now” is the day I stop giving 100%. I mean think about it, why would I need to give 100% if I’ve already crossed the finish line so to speak.

So the next time you aim for the sky and finally get there, reach for the stars. Once you reach the stars, see if you can go even higher…Who knows where life will take us. Remember, we are our own limitations and nothing can stop us from achieving our dreams. We have the power within us to do the impossible. Keep dreaming, keep positive and know you will get there.

The Purpose of Life

What is the purpose of life? Why are we here? Why was we created?

Have you sat down and really thought about those questions fully?

Without meaning to sound negative, we are created and put upon this earth, we live for a number of years and then we pass away. Can you see where I’m coming from when I ask, “What is the purpose of life”?

Now, you can ask a thousand people this same question and get a thousand different answers and the thing is right, none of the answers would be wrong because each individual is different. You see, your answer boils down to a number of factors, such as:

-Your Upbringing

-Your Thoughts

-Your Beliefs

-Your Aspirations

-The way you live your life

So I suppose the question really should be “What is YOUR purpose in life”?

Hopefully by now I have some of you thinking. I feel it’s a difficult question to answer if you haven’t really given it much thought before, but I definitely feel it’s a question worth thinking about (that’s if you haven’t already)

I have many different views on the subject, some of which I will share with you today, but before I do so I want to share a poem with you which will make sense a little later…Here goes…

Don’t Be Sad When I Die

When tomorrow starts without me,
and I’m not there to comfort you,
please know that I still love you,
cause I know you love me too.

When tomorrow starts without me,
and you feel lost and blue,
I hope these words I’ve written
will help to see you through.

Someday your pain will ease,
sadness replaced by fond memories
Come tomorrow you will hear
I love you whispered on the breeze.

When tomorrow starts without me
cause God has called me home
I turn, blowing a kiss for thee
Sad that you may feel alone.

Nice little poem right, sad but nice at the same time. I keep stressing it guys and will continue to do so, “Life is short, enjoy now, the PRESENT (which is essentially a gift) and live for today”. I feel life is about getting as much as you can out of everyday because when that day has passed guess what, it’s not coming back!

I feel life is about loving everyone around you, smiling and being happy. As hard as it is I believe life is also about forgiving…especially if the person is close to. Don’t let grudges ruin relationships because of ego, let all that go.

I would love to spend more time with my family but life throws things at you sometimes, you know how it is…I just try to find time when I can because the last thing I want is regret…The regret that I didn’t make the effort when they was around and then I find myself reciting poems like the above…If you love someone and you haven’t told them in a while, do it now, do it while you still can…

I believe that one of my purposes in life is helping other people…It’s not something I can explain, it’s just a feeling in my heart, something which feels right. I reckon that’s another reason why I write this blog because I feel like I’m helping at least one person out there in the wide world and that alone keeps me going.

I believe life is about doing what you love doing and following your passion everyday so when you look back on your life you have no regrets…

I really could go on forever about my philosophies on the matter but I don’t want to start boring anyone…

To sum it all up though, some of my beliefs regarding our Life’s purpose is to:

  1. Help others as much as you can
  2. Love others around you
  3. Enjoy life to the fullest
  4. Learn about yourself as an individual (Mentally and Spiritually)
  5. Have Fun
  6. Live with no regrets
  7. Avoid dwelling on the past (you can’t change yesterday)
  8. Make goals and achieve them
  9. Chase your dreams
  10. Be happy

So guys, think about this one real hard the next time you have some silent time. Make it a topic of discussion with work colleagues, family and friends…

Feel free to send me what you come up with as I would love to hear from you. For some it might be a bit more personal & that’s totally understandable…For some they may not be ready to answer such questions…And again, that’s totally understandable…

But do you know what’s funny guys, after all this I still wake up in the morning sometimes and ask “What is the purpose of life”….
