thank you

Hey Guys,

How are we all doing on this fine day. I hope everyone is well and enjoying life the way it’s supposed to be enjoyed 🙂

Today is just a quick thank you to all my followers and viewers for making this site as phenomenal as it is. If I didn’t have followers, I wouldn’t be as motivated to keep the site going. But you guys support me with your e-mails of gratitude, your views and your follows and it really does mean a lot to me – Thank You.

I don’t know what direction this site will go in, but I will continue writing content from the heart as it seems that is what you guys like. I now literally have followers from all over the world and this fills me with joy as I never knew it was possible. I never anticipated how massive this site would actually grow. From a hobby to something I look to form as a life time career.

I’m a normal guy in my 20’s from the UK who started this site to make myself a name in the fitness industry not really knowing what that entailed. Since then I have competed in two bodubuilding shows, helped 1000’s of people to stay motivated, inspired, and on track with different areas of their lives.

I’ve seen that the material I write actually benefits peoples lives and this really does mean a lot to me as I never knew I had the potential to be a writer in any way, shape or form…

I even had a woman from my gym share with me that from reading my website it helped her through her divorce – Thank you for sharing this with me and I hope you are reading this now.

After seeing 1600 people sign up to my site in just 40 days with no promotion from my end, I knew that I had to write a book and continue sharing material with y’all.

I would start my YouTube channel now, but I don’t know if I can be 100% consistent as of yet hence why I’m waiting until 2016 to see how my time table changes.

My Journey Has Been Incredible

My Journey Has Been Incredible

I don’t know when any of you started following my site, but if you started following me in 2013 just before my first bodybuilding show, you will have seen my progression from the chubby boy in the gym to the guy with abs in just over 90 days – It is possible for anyone to sculpt their dream physique, you just gotta want it badly enough…

Setting goals and achieving them is what I’m all about and I love helping you guys to do the same – I’ve been doing it for over 3 years now and look to continue in bigger and better ways 🙂

They say setting goals and achieving them deems you as a successful person – I agree on this one.

We can all be successful and happy – We just have to strive for it knowing that it is possible.

~If you think something isn’t possible, then you’re right. If you KNOW it’s possible, then you are also right. It’s all about how you think and what you believe that defines your reality~

The Wrap Up

Before I go though, I just want to share with you guys a picture of when I first started going to the gym. I feel to share this picture as I speak to so many people that don’t believe it’s possible to get abs or to even sculpt their dream physique and this is both a lie and limiting thought process.

The moment I said, OK, time to change - No more talking!

OK, time to change – No more talking!

I remember I took a trip out to the sunny Islands of Jamaica in 2007 and I was trying to suck in my belly every time a hot girl walked past, but it just wasn’t working – Sad times right 😦 LOL

That’s when I knew it was time for me to do something…

IT WAS TIME FOR ME TO MAKE THAT CHANGE!

Then after years of dedication, consistency, clean eating and smart training, I evolved like a Dragon Ball Z character into this:

Girls can't keep there eye's of me at the beach now ;-)

Girls can’t keep there eye’s of me at the beach now 😉

NOW when I go to holiday, it’s a totally different ball game. The girls are coming at me from left, right and centre (yes I am smiling as I write this hehehe)

I used visualisation techniques and saw what I wanted to look like and I surely got there in the end…

Moral of the story: If I can do it, so can you…

I love you guys

What’s up my beautiful people,

How are we all doing on this fine day. I hope everyone is doing well, enjoying life and achieving their goals.

I’ve been well for those asking thank you 🙂

I’m back in the gym 5 days a week now, 100% clean eating (well a little treat on weekends LOL) and I’m half way into my ebook – I’m doing one for free and releasing a self published version – So I’ve been a busy bunny guys.

I aim to blog at least twice a week now (I’m scared to make any promises LOL) but I want to help you guys as much as I can whilst living a balanced social life.

But without further ado, let’s get straight to business…

Goals and Motivation

I believe that life has added value when we have goals to work towards, wouldn’t you agree?

It gives us motivation and drive to focus our energy on something that is likely to bring us success in the future, and I’m sure we all want to be successful in life.

Staying motivated isn’t easy though, and I’m sure we’ve all been in a situation where we’ve lacked motivation in some way, shape or form – But there are many tools to help us stay on track and today I will share some with you.

Before we get to the juicy stuff though – Let me ask you all a question or 2…

1) What does Success mean to you?

2) Do you believe that you have what it takes to go and make success a reality for you?

Meditate on that for a moment…

As humans, we sometimes grow up facing face self doubt and this can affect how we view ourselves on a daily basis. Believe it or not, self doubt can be the determining factor as to whether we obtain success or not and I’ll tell you why…

If you don’t believe in yourself, who is going to believe in you? Who is going to keep you going when times get tough eh?

And if you start doubting your character, its also easy to find excuses to give up when times get rough.

Self doubt will have that little voice in your head telling you that you can’t do it or even worst, put you in a state of procrastination saying:

“I’ll Do It Another Time” – Poison to be avoided at all cost!

Also, if you don’t see yourself in a positive light, it’s hard for others to do so as well. Subconsciously without realising, the state of self doubt will have you carrying yourself in a certain manner that is easily noticeable by others around you.

For example, your body language, the way in which you speak and how you carry yourself in general are all critical factors that determine whether someone views you as confident or not.

(I will write a post soon about how to boost Confidence in day to day life)

But as today is all about Motivation, below I will share a tip to help you stay Motivated and on track with your goals.

Visualisation

visualise-your-success-01

I’ve spoke about Visualisation before, but it is a vital part of the process where goal setting and staying motivated is concerned. I usually sit with my clients and get them to visualise what it is that they want from life. Without visualising where you want to be, how can you know where you want to go. Think on that for a moment…

Visualise very clearly and vividly what career you want for yourself. Visualise your dream partner. Visualise your dream car. Visualise the amount of money you want to make. Keep dreaming and dream big my people. If any of you have watched the DVD the Secret or know anything about Law of Attraction, you will know how important visualisations are. They bring about a wonderful feeling in the present moment of now. One thing the DVD didn’t really mention though is that:

Law of Attraction + Action = Success

You see, you can’t just dream big and take no action…You have to go out there and make stuff happen…Ya Dig!

Write Down Your Goals

goal_setting

I don’t mess around when it come’s to goal setting. I have my goals written down in a small book that I carry around with me. It’s a constant reminder why I can’t eat McDonalds when I’m doing a Bodybuilding show or a modelling shoot.

You always want to review your goals daily to help you stay on track and to keep the consistency going.

Bedroom walls, the kitchen, the bathroom i.e are all great places to stick your goals up. Write them down on a piece of paper (post it notes even) and stick them up all around your house. This is how I practice and adopt self motivation…

You see, I’m a guy who loves my food – And I mean LOVE my food LOL – So staying motivated when it comes to getting abs isn’t always the easiest for me. (My earlier followers have seen me out of shape before – I will try and re-upload the pictures to show you how far I’ve come from being tubby to the boy with abs)

That’s it for today though my people, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading as much as I’ve enjoyed writing 😀

I’m going to be bringing back the much requested:

“Quote’s Of The Week” – You guy’s showed me a lot of Love for those blog post there, so it’s only right.

If y’all want me to cover any issues, hit me up on my contact page and I’ll see what I can do.

As always – Much Love and Blessings to You All

Hey,

How’s it going my beautiful people and what a long time it’s been.

I know I’m 4 months late, but:

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015

I’ve had a hectic 2014 and it’s been one of the busiest and craziest years of my life. From slipping into cardiac arrest, to becoming a public speaker, to starting my own business and becoming self employed – All from the back of my two Bodybuilding shows and modelling shoot at the end of 2013.

2015 started of pretty wild also, but the storm is now calm and I am able to breathe and continue to focus on the things that I really love to do – What else is life about eh?

I’ve learned so many lesson over the past two years (where has time gone so quickly) and feel that I have grown as an individual that can deliver some new juicy content for you guys over the next few years to come…

Today I have no particular topic in mind, but just wanted to catch up with you all and make it known that I am still about and living well. Also to let you know what I’ve been up to as I’ve had hundreds of emails asking what I’ve been getting up to…

Well,

Something happened to me that I never thought was possible…

I TOOK ON TOO MANY GOALS TOO SOON

Now – Not ever in this life time did I think it would be possible for me to take on too much at one go, as I like to think of myself as a pretty balanced individual. But I made that mistake last year and will forever have the experience with me to help me through tougher or similar situations. (I don’t use the concept of mistakes any more, I simply view them as lessons learned)

Now in life, we all want to be successful, healthy and wealthy (I at least hope so anyway) and this leads us to setting goals, doing affirmations and incantations (an affirmation with emotion and reaction).

Life ain’t easy folks, and we must do all we can do to help us get through periods of tough times in our lives. Here’s a list of a few tools that I use to help me through periods of darkness in my life or to help get me through challenging goals. I hope you will also find them useful.

We Can Get Through Anything in Life – 5 Step Program

Don't Give Up

1) Self Talk – As I’ve wrote before, talking to yourself ISN’T a sign of madness. It’s simply an exercise which can be used when you find yourself down about something. Talk to yourself as you would to a loving child. Ask yourself why you’re feeling tense or uptight. You may find that the answer you receive helps you to ease the apprehension you are feeling at the time. I find this exercise also helps to bring me to a state of calmness if I am ever feeling anxious, tense or nervous about anything.

2) Writing Things Down – Writing things down whether using the “Diary” approach method or simply by just scribbling down your thoughts and emotions on a piece of paper is a good way to release anxious energy and a powerful tool if you don’t want to share your issue with anyone.

Writing yours goals on a piece of paper and having them up by your bed so you can see them everyday is also worth doing and highly recommended.

3) Speaking with People – The good ole days before smart phones, where people use to communicate with each other more face to face or actually speak on the phone LOL. Speaking with like minded people helps you to align yourself with that positivity energy needed to get you through that dark spell. Try to build a good circle of people around you that can be there to help you when you need them most.

4) Read Books/Articles – Remember guys, we now live in the DIGITAL AND INFORMATION age where access to information is only a click away (You got that smart phone right LOL)

On a serious note, there are so many books, ebooks, audio books and articles out there that you have no excuses not to better your life. Reading the right books and getting the right information will help you through anything.

A simple search on Google for:

“Self Development”

“Self Improvement”

“Achieving Goals”

“Law of Attraction”

“Motivation Quotes”

Will help you on your path to a better life…

We have a wealth of information out there waiting to help us, we just have to go out there and search for it.

Visualisation-quote-on-beach

5) Visualisation – Visualisation works simply by you envisioning yourself in the position you want to be in life right now. It’s that simple and rather a fun exercise (LOL, I’m sure we all do it sometimes – Better jobs, careers, loving relationships, holidays, new cars – It can be anything that put’s a smile to your face)

Once you’ve had some reflection time and you know where you want to be in life and you have a clear visual representation of this of this in your mind – GO OUT THERE AND GET IT!

AND DON’T LET NOTHING OR NO ONE STOP YOU ON YOUR JOURNEY!

My philosophy is this –  We only live one life in these physical bodies of ours, so we might as well make the best of it and do as much as we can whilst we are here (Without taking on too much at once of course LOL)

And Remember

~Tough times don’t last, Tough people do~

It’s been great catching up with y’all 🙂

Stay Blessed and Much Love

I’d be lying if I said this was easy…My life is so blessed that I wake up everyday and count my blessings…even before I go sleep at night. I have a wonderful family, a roof over my head, a job, an abundance of food, strength, health and what some might call wealth but I still find myself down at times. Where all humans at the end of the day and living around so much negativity it’s hard to stay positive all the time.

I find myself in situations where it’s easy for me to get angry and kick off, but then I pause and think for a moment and by getting angry I’m only going to add fuel to the fire.

You see we have choices in life and in any given situation you have a choice whether to go down the positive route or the negative route.

Let’s say you’re at work and you get into a disagreement with someone and they decide to make a nasty comment towards you, you can react in two ways:

1) Say something nasty back to them – Your ego comes into light and you refuse to have someone speak to you like that. You say to yourself “who does this person think they are speaking to me like this” and you by default you add fuel to the fire. This is the route the majority of people go down because they go into “auto pilot” which you could also call instinct. As humans we instinctively go into defence mode as it’s a way for us to protect ourselves & it’s all we know. Then we have option two…

2) Ignore them – The hardest of the two wouldn’t you agree. Ego is one of our biggest enemies & once you learn how to control your ego your life becomes a lot more peaceful. Pride doesn’t allow some of you to do this though. Imagine being in the above situation and just ignoring the person. You being the fuel and them being the fire. By ignoring them only one thing can happen to that fire right…it has to die out.

This isn’t easy though, if it was there wouldn’t be so much violence and negativity out in the world right now.

Staying positive isn’t easy…

I was in the gym today and my shoulder popped out it’s socket while I was training (yes I am in pain) and I had to cut my session short. I was angry, frustrated and just thought to myself “whats the point of training if all I’m going to do is cause injury to my body”. I now know I’m going to have to take 1-2 months out of the gym to give it time to heal. Even more annoyed as I’ve just recovered from another injury.

In my head I was thinking, “I’m trying to live a good healthy life and take care of my body and I have this happen to me, what’s the point”.

I continued to feel like this while leaving the gym and just didn’t want to talk to anybody. I was feeling real negative to be honest. I got in my car to drive home and struggled to shift into 1st gear, the pain was that bad. So I just sat in my car for a few minutes hoping the pain would die down and to be honest I just wanted to cry and feel sorry for myself…

While more negative thoughts came into my head I paused out of nowhere and said “David, what are you doing…do you know how fortunate and blessed you are and your letting something as small as a shoulder injury get you down like this…man up”.

In that moment I thought about the people in the world who don’t know where there going to get there next meal from. I thought about the people in the world with no roof over there head. I thought about the people who are going through real heart ache in life and there and then I gave thanks and drove home…

I don’t really know what happened at that moment but all I know is something was telling me to stay positive. Some may call it God; some may call it positive energy.

All I know is that I learned a crucial lesson today. When I’m in negative situations from now on, I will pause and remember just how blessed I am. I hope some can learn from my lesson also.

Image

Staying positive takes practice and a lot of it. Everyone has the right to feel negative at times, I mean lets be honest we can’t always be positive can we, but we can try. It’s OK to be down as long as you pick yourself back up.

I’ve learnt that negative thinking is like planting a seed, keep those thoughts planted in your head and there just going to grow and grow and grow until it becomes hard to control…Try and catch yourself from early when you start thinking these thoughts before they spiral out of control.

People think I’m weird because I don’t watch the news…Why do I want to watch something so negative…All that’s ever reported is murder, rape, wars, prison, crime and all negative things associated…sorry but I don’t want to be apart of that. I’m sure lots of good things go on in the world but they chose not to report it. (That’s another topic of discussion anyway)

How can we stay positive if where hearing such sad things all the time. Energy is like electricity, it’s there but we can’t see it…We sure can feel it though.

Have you ever been in a situation where you and a group of friends are having fun, laughing and joking with each other and then another friend who is feeling down & depressed joins the group and suddenly out of nowhere the vibe just changes, that one energy changed everyone else’s…think about that one.

I hope some of you after you’ve read this really think about some of the things mentioned in this post. I was feeling a bit down when I started writing this but found myself trying to keep positive so I know it’s not easy. But I feel so much better now, so in writing this I’ve helped myself and hopefully it helps someone else.

I hope that when you do find yourself in a situation, whatever it may be, that you can pause, look inside yourself and control your thoughts which in turn will control your decisions, which in turn will control your destiny…

Positive or Negative, it’s your life, you decide…

Blessings
